The Broken of Britain Submission to the Consultation on DLA reform - Final Draft

Well, it is finished! It's been nearly two months in the making, with a lot of hard work from The Broken of Britain and CarerWatch, and dedicated, detailed and moving testimony from all of you. Since the second draft was released, minor changes have been made, with additional testimonies and citations from reports included as 'smoking guns'. You can read the document here.

Before being sent off on Thursday, I would like to include a page listing 'supporters'. If you are willing to support this document, please leave a message here, either you real name or a screen name.

I am in total support of this document. I have MS and work full-time, and the proposed changes are likely to leave me without transport, support or equipment to live a dignified and normal life. Here's hoping this is a genuine consultation and not just the government making a show of caring about what we think, when their decision has already been made.

Wonderful! You've worked so hard.
I'm definitely a supporter, obviously!
Did you manage to do anything about individual submissions too as advised?
Great great work!!

I completely support this. You're far more eloquent at putting points across than I will ever be.

I just hope our voices are heard and not ignored. As a wheelchair user with spina bifida and chronic debilitating pain I'm used to being invisible, and am scared that I won't be 'disabled enough' under the proposed changes to DLA.

I totally support this document. Due to a Traumatic Brain Injury I'm physically and mentally disabled, in receipt of lower rate care and mobility. My condition will not improve therefore reassesment pointless. DLA helps pay for travel costs to hospitals, supermarket and other things I can never remember (memory permanently damaged). Yes to DLA, No to PIP.
