The new #TBofB Messageboard is LIVE!

As we've noted on Twitter and Facebook for the last couple of weeks; due to circumstances beyond our control, we've had to make a fresh start with the official TBofB Message board.

The new board can be found at  http://thebrokenofbritain.yuku.com

Yuku TOS: Please read carefully

To comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, at this time Yuku is only available to users who are at least 13 years old.

You agree not to use the Service to:
  1. Solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18;
  2. Solicit passwords or personal identifying information for commercial or unlawful purposes from other users;

 Please read through the items posted on the Notice Board, especially the Guidelines. Below are some details to help you get started and they are also posted on the Noticeboard for your reference.

The TBofB messageboard is what Yuku refers to as "semi-private"
  1. Our community is open to the public and all are welcome. However, users will have to be approved before they can post. We like to learn about our potential members beforehand to ensure that our discussions are thoughtful, lively and spam free. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  2. In order to join, click the reply option in any given topic and the application page will appear.

    Thumbsup     It has a SEND button; click it to send your application.
  3. Please review the "Membership Approval" and "Your First Post" threads for next steps in Getting Started

Yuku Accounts vs. Yuku Profiles

Accounts
Yuku account is NOT a username. Your account is set up on your email address, and can have 1 profile on a free account and up to 3 profiles on a supporter account. So to have a username, you need to have at least one profile on your account.

Please see information about supporter accounts here:
http://www.yuku.com/home/supporterstory/

Your account will control all your preferences and settings. If you have more than one profile on your account, you can switch profiles without logging out in order to manage a different profile

Profiles
Each profile will have its own profile page and signature(s).
Each profile manages its own friends.
You can add a blog to each profile page
Each profile has its own image folders
Each profile has its own inbox.

Membership Approval

Once your application has been reviewed and you have been approved, you will receive notification in your Yuku inbox.

Please note that:

1) it is up to the owner / admin of a group to allow or disallow members, Yuku staff does not interfere with that. It is entirely at the discretion of TBofB's core team. We are striving to have a harmonious community.; therefore it is within our remit to decline membership and ban as we deem necessary.

2) We will endeavour to review applications at least once daily, but please remember that all Moderators are battling illness. As such, it is not impossible for all of us to be out of action at a given time. Your patience is appreciated.

3) Please do not contact Yuku to ask when you will be approved, why you are not approved, how long the wait is expected to be, because they cannot help you. It is not up to them to approve your application.

Your First Post

Membership to Yuku boards only becomes "official" after a first post is made. Once you do this, your name will appear in the Membership list.

To make it easy - we have an introductions thread, The Welcome Wagon, in the Commons Room  forum located in Central Perk. Please introduce yourself to the community there.

Just a piece of advice in that your forum requires a surname this is not advisable on the grounds of security and privacy reasons and you may not know of this but all general forums across the world are as what i have posted below

If however you are operating your forum as an exclusive club and everyone is to be vetted before joining then that is a different mater and what you have in place is correct
